I used to be anti-rust codebases because it limits who you can hire. Now I think that may be a good limitation.

Ooh another point for it. I think being able to “think in Rust” may be the sign of a good engineer.

Every remotely curious person I've met has wanted to learn Rust, particularly because of the kind of products people ship using it. For me, it's like the slick performance of Zed, but for a lot of others, it's all the toolchains. If someone's bothered to learn Rust, they like hard things and are willing to grind out the learning curve so they can reach reap the benefits that only few can build with.
