The main difference right now is developer support, which can make a big difference when it comes to long term success of an "everything app" social platform. X is also a platform as opposed to a protocol, which limits its growth potential due to being closed source and high entry barrier for devs to contribute to the X ecosystem.

I think FC is also farther along in socializing the value opportunities among the creators who bring value to the network as a % of growth, but that can be debated with how much more pure $ X creators have been able to make than FC creators by way of the network size and traffic disparity
