never been on a train through the night, how is that compared to a flight?

on the amtrak california to chicago line:
-the seats are much larger even in coach class
-theres rooms and roomettes you can upgrade to
-i got a roomette which has a full fold-down bed, table and seating, washroom in the car. so ill be able to work and nap and have privacy
-all this cheaper than a flight, with more comfort and amenities, and we arrive to the denver central station which is in the heart of downtown denver (unlike denver airport which is an hour away)

i did coach seating thru the night last time and it wasnt bad. this time im really looking forward to having a real bed, since i like to sleep on my side.
