Watching your mother slowly fade away is surreal. A once vibrant body slowly becoming a corpse. Her spirit is still strong and she shines through in moments she has energy, which are less and less. I’ve been afk spending as much time as possible with her. She’s only 67 so it was somewhat unexpected to come to this.

The sacred part hits. It’s a very strange and surreal experience. While it’s rough, it’s also an odd blessing that makes perspective shifts that are hard to achieve any other way. Enjoying a connection with someone in this fleeting moment called life is special, especially when you know it won’t last forever.
