I don’t believe we should judge strength purely based on surface-level feats.

For example, I’ve always disagreed with the take from the Enies Lobby arc that “Luffy defeated Lucci, whose power level was twice that of other CP9 members, so Luffy must be twice as strong as Zoro or Sanji.” That’s a shallow reading.

Let’s not forget—Zoro continued fighting Marines even after defeating his opponent. Meanwhile, Luffy nearly lost to Lucci and was completely incapacitated after his win.

So no, comparing characters based solely on fight outcomes doesn’t tell the full story.

At the end of the day, we’re not just fans of one character—we’re fans of One Piece as a whole, aren’t we?
