is nouns just @0xdusk and Jane now? if they control all the votes and fork threshold is 100%, not sure how it's a DAO in any sense of the word :/

to be clear i love nouns and the movement behind it i'm just starting to question whether the "DAO" portion is worth building for it's just an awkwardly structured VC fund now

Dont hate the players. Hate the game. Ive been turned down by similar configuration in gnars. But in reality we need to evolve the governance system. Is it dynamic quorums, quadratic voting, burning votes for big voting turn outs? Idk. But one token one vote will not put us far from traditional systems many of us came here for. At least they are reachable and they are around, not ideal situation but at least they seem to care about nouns and because they got the votes they will have the opportunity to try their ideas.

Ive been battling at lil nouns dao for 2 years with basically exact same situation (1 whale just sold last month). Nouns already seeded the idea/values that have birthed many other communities and will always remain the prototype - will these whales buy every token everyday forever? Unlikely. Are they rinsing the dao like the old guard? Not yet. Owning too many tokens def disrupts the balance, but owning tokens alone cannot change nor help positively influence trajectory so let us see this unfold imo. One alternative timeline is where they never showed up, Nouns are at 0.4e yet the funded community still arent buying for some reason and we just spent our final 500e on Nouns animators fest 2025 and doubling down on Nouns Terminal.
