yes the easy to get a visa is a big part but might be doable in a location in the us timezone as well

agreed. one more thing - both KUL and SIN airports are hugely well connected to the rest of the world. its hard to say of many other places. and the malaysian ringgit is very favourable compared to the singaporean dollar. til re: megahubs, kul beats sin, mostly thanks to low cost carrier airasia! https://www.oag.com/megahubs-airports-2024
