this is some nerd shit so not sure where to share

but we just shipped the first version of Farcaster based on the React Native new architecture!

new arch has been in the works for almost 7 years (!!) and as a React Native dev this is hugely exciting for me

the iOS input issues and Android perf / jank issues should be solved in the latest Play Store / App Store builds! please upgrade :)

sadly we had to roll back the new arch in the Farcaster app

we ended up with a lot of perf, memory, and UX regressions even after a week or trying to squash them

working with the Expo team to try to get things to a better place

which version was causing issues? we've been targeting an expo sdk upgrade as well
