the downside of obsessively delegating everything to AI is that now, whenever i sit down to do anything remotely manual, it feels like a gargantuan waste of time, and i get distracted with brainstorming ways in which to automate that process. e.g. writing a congratulatory message for an employee's anniversary should probably come from the heart – even though i could feed an LLM all my past texts, emails, and bad jokes and have it quickly produce something that looks + feels meaningful. it's almost as if there's some kind of fucked up opportunity cost to just being human for a moment.

I dont write things manually because of how the receiver feels. I do it because of how it makes me feel
