I haven't been around for the whole ride, but it's been interesting to learn from @abram + @w how the initial idea for Splits — sharing money onchain — was originally expressed in a very concrete, limited tool: the simple splitter contract

...which soon unfolded into a philosophically driven mission to enable productive collaboration (which is what finance is *for*), on the scale of the firm but also the scale of civilization
