Alaska is one of my favorite places in the world

Lived there for 2 months, gonna be there for 6 weeks later this year

Just went for the first time in May. Breathtaking. Felt like out of a movie. Didn’t get a chance to go up to Denali, though, so I’ll need to go back.

Overlanding to Alaska was the inspiration behind building the camping platform in the back of my 4runner.  Never did get around to making the  Alaska trip.

Hardly contributing anything tangible...  Creator of Farcaster Country Club and founder of /unique-vehicles.

Alaska is a different beast. Especially the route I wanted to take (The Dalton Highway).  Looking back I'm glad I never foolishly made that attempt. I would of been most likely ill-prepared. These guys did a really cool series 10 years ago of documenting the entire journey.  Worth it alone just for the Alaska content

yeah that would be sweet. had a camper for a few years, also didnt end up taking it to alaska but did do a bunch of stuff on the west coast

too many, depends on what you're interested in. Anchorage is the main airport to get into and then branch out from there

That’s awesome. Lucky you have freedom to work and travel. Did manan approve it? Have so much and share lots of pics

- Like it a lot so want to spend time there 
- traveling there is double the time of traveling to Europe, short trips don’t make sense 
- it’s like 30% of the contiguous US landmass, takes time to cover 

and yeah as per #3, we’ll be going to few spots but staying a week everywhere. Travel only on weekends

Was in Alaska for a kayaking camping trip 18 years ago. Will return someday!! 
Why such a long trip for you? Will you guys be staying in 1 place or traveling ?

In last 10 years I’ve been there 8 times. It’s such a beautiful place that I wanna go there again and again!

I need to head back…unfortunately last trip was 2021 when my uncle passed away that lived there since the 80s
