luxury industry is doing better than ever. spending is way up. Stanley cups and Labubus are distractions for the poors pretending to be rich in a hyperconsumerist world driven by the algorithm. real luxury is things and experiences you are so priced out of you have no clue they even exist.

mentioned those two examples in my reply to Christin, but obviously even I know that they aren't luxury items. asked the question which is the more important part because the acceleration of the hype machine worldwide is so very harmful. should luxury die? maybe, probably not though. as someone else said, luxury is offline these days, beyond just status symbols, but more and more the cost and feeling of that luxury blurs. https://youtu.be/9Ve9vne72Rc?si=4hXUGJ_D8M2dUkJQ
