This was taken in the greenbelt behind our house. But despite its beauty, nature also has some powerful plants that can wreak havoc with your skin when brushed up against. My husband and son have been experiencing the wrath of poison ivy and itโs a vicious rash that doesnโt subside quickly while also featuring a uncomfortable itch with fluid filled blisters that later dry up and fall off.๐ซฃ Know your environment and any poisonous plants before diving into the great outdoors!

Poison ivy sounds so terrible. Iโm very happy we donโt have it here. How are the boys? Getting over it? 800 ๐๐ป

It is really the one thing (alongside with ticks) that dampen the outdoor vibe for me. The city actually hired goats to eat the poison ivy, and poison oak from the trails around the inner city lake. Apparently they love that stuff. You can even rent goats to clear your property of those unwanted plants...but probably also anything else that's growing ๐คฃ The boys look scary and even though not contagious I quarantined them in their rooms overnight. The rash is nasty - scaly blisters, resembling dinosaur skin. Thankfully my son only has a mild version, but I am waiting every day to wake up to something bubbling up. I am getting paranoid with every mozzy bite that I am getting that rash as well...
