Still not sure what my personal consequences are from the $moxie desaster. 

Don't trust people?
Don't engage emotionally?
Don't trust builders that say they'll bring billions in value to the coin?

Expect nothing?

It is bullshit how we rally behind these projects, onboard others, invest energy and then one day they are just dumped without warning.

I sold some, but onboarded 5-6 friends to crypto through the Fantokens by sending them ETH to buy Moxie and then my Fantoken and then buying a bunch of my own FanToken after they bought, because I was under the impression that my activity would be counting towards my FanTokens for years to come.

So obviously my wallet got a huge hit (I am not rich at all), but also my friends will forever associate Crypto with scams and ruggs, because the site just goes offline soon.

There is nothing more powerful in this world than words.

not taking profit when you could have done maybe? It's so difficult to know. With airdrops I generally sell them immediately, which I did with moxie. I was never a fan of the tokenomics but did try to engage to generate a reward through their system. I never bought extra although I did spend some moxie on fan tokens. When fan token price went up and everyone was saying there's no way to lose here, nobody focussed on the underlying asset, which was losing value. 

My suggestion is to sell the new airdrop when/if you get it.

I feel that is something I could and should see in the future, but I didn't see it at the time. When they changed to buy/burn, I was sure it would help the token. Anything else I missed?

Poor tokenomics, was never going to work. Scratch it up as a loss and move on.

Having fun in the crypto world

It felt like there was a big team and the dev only had a big idea in mind, but afterwards it felt like $moxie was just a toy that wasn't shiny anymore. Something I would suspect from users, but not from the dev himself.

My takeaway from supporting builders is that they should never be the face of the project or put out in front, developers should stay behind the scenes and work in silence.
