I'm not long $RUNE at the moment, but I still look at Thorchain as critical DeFi infra. The world needs it, and I believe it's genuinely contributing to human freedom. Haven't been following $RUJI (would have been more hyped on it years earlier), but I hope it gets some serious traction.

Looking back, I think I underestimated the complexities of wallet software. I had thought Metamask and most of the other major wallets would all support bitcoin at the very least by now (this would supercharge cross-chain trading). Really disappointed in their lack of ambition. Without mainstream wallets, Thorchain UX is a hurdle to widespread adoption. Looks like that's finally beginning to change (and I'm hearing talk of exchange integration), so maybe I should re-add $RUNE :)

Nice. I was in the rune vaults back in the early days... claiming more $RUNE every week felt like magic. Yeah... their synths got out of whack earlier this year and bad debt accrued. I thought the protocol was doomed, but the fact that they're still there shows that it's definitely needed infra.

Convenience seems to have won the first battle but I agree, it’s absolutely crucial infra.

Didn’t they have a ton of loans they couldn’t service or something recently?
