Most male children are usually at loggerheads with their dads until they get to that stage and realize the man had a lot of unsaid pains and struggles and then they find themselves in the same situation and begin to feel the guilt. 

Fathers don't get enough credit and they don't care much about it. But truth be told, they make sacrifices too. Unseen, not loud ones.

It's not being talked much about, but getting to that age teaches them a lot that their dad really sacrificed a lot for them. It's much better if they realize it earlier than later.
