i think people appreciated movies + shows more when we had to put in effort to see them —  whether lining up at the theatre, going to a blockbuster or waiting a week to see the next television episode. 

one could say the same re: music + streaming, but IRL concert experiences are arguably more appreciated than ever.

I just started collecting vinyl records this year, and one thing I’m appreciating is that each album comes with a memory of the record shop I bought it in. Haven’t had that experience with music in a long while
