No added attack surface that I can tell. Physical theft is pretty difficult without a wrench attack, and there's no additional surface to attack via the web/machine.

It's just an extra security layer. Can be useful depending on how it's used. It can also be entirely useless if used wrong or if it causes complacency.

I still can't shake the gut feeling that hardware wallets aren't necessarily net-safer than software wallets... Seems like a fair amount of added technical debt and attack surface, no?

It does leave things open for so many problems. People around here don’t talk enough about estate planning. Nobody wants to consider their sudden death or aging things like dimentia
