Did we ever stop to think that, with the proliferation of agents in our everyday lives/txns, we're also embedding principle/agent problems into our lives as well? Even troubleshooting avatar interactions in /circles can feel conflict-prone without constant eggshell-stepping because the actions of the automated system use real peoples' avatars in complicated ways. Sure, having agents execute difficult tasks is awesome.. But when it comes at a human coordination and relationship costs within my own trust network, is it worth it? Do humans have the neccesary skills to navigate the agentic future? Seems like there's a need to step back and consider the human ramifications of having hundreds of little proxies wearing our pfp's and interacting with others on our behalf maybe.
