Advice to anyone that wants to IMMEDIATELY improve the candid photos they take of people, kids and pets (especially for the last two). EYE LEVEL. Sure, you can tilt it up/down if that's what you're going for. But put the phone/camera at eye level of the subject. Everyone and their mother has pictures of kids/grandkids "from above". Dogs/cats photos taken from above. They are what we usually see in day to day life. And we and our brains consider them boring (for the most part). Lower yourself. Lower the camera. Shoot from eye level. Of course, if you're going for something "different" (bird view, making subjects appear bigger than they are, etc), disregard this. Disclaimer: I am not a pro photographer in any way, shape or form. Just something that a lot of photographers say it is the right approach, and that I found works for me. PS: I had to google "kid running" and was only able to find an example of photo taken from "above" at page 4-5. This tells you all you need to know. Example of both:

@inceptionally I hope this is OK. this channel is the biggest photo related channel I could find, and since neither photo was snapped by me, I didn't cast "ITAP". If that's not OK, just lmk, I'll delete it and cast somewhere else

and yes, I am aware the photo from "eye level" was probably taken by someone with camera experience, with a "good" camera, while the photo "from above" was taken with a potato, by someone with less camera experience. My point still stands.
