This is the most expensive watch/piece of jewelry I own.
Story time. For the better part of the last 10-15 years, I was looking at Sinn U1. To me, it was the perfect watch. Sadly, my wrist is rather small and I cannot pull it off. When Sinn announced U50, I ws sure I was getting it.
Finally, I went to a business trip to Berlin. Found an AD, went there. I just didn't vibe with the U50. It seemed cramped. The guy brought out other watches. I looked at 556i rs, but it seemed... Small.
Talked with the guy for some time, he gave me their 2022/2023 catalogue for free (it's a hard cover monster of a book). Went back to hotel without buying anything.
But I could not sleep. Kept thinking about that 556.
The next day I went back. Bought it. Ordered the metal bracelet as well. It is simple. Their basic, cheapest model. But to me, it is perfect. Deep black. You could get lost on it. That red second gives it a bit of character. Legible. Perfect. 5 replies
