just once, i’d like to be able to talk to [insert name of a person i feel safe around] about what i’ve been going through as i work through past traumas, without falling apart. is that too much to ask.

i know crying is okay, but i would like to be able to get my point across without bawling. it’s so difficult to do it coherently. it’s already difficult enough to open up this bigly. sigh.

this was me for a long time when i started therapy. when you are working through past traumas, it happens. i remember the first session i didn't cry while talking about stuff and it was mind blowing to me at the time. now i'm able to laugh/make jokes about the same stuff that would choke me back then. some stuff i'm still sensitive about but not like i used to be. so keep talking about it, work through it and one day it won't feel as painful.
