Last time I came to NYC to fundraise, I stayed in a hostel and ate dried cereal every day I was bootstrapped and hadn't had a salary for over a year. No regrets. Frugality gave me time to iterate on dozens of ideas Just landed in NYC and am staying in a hotel this time :)
