Because medical facilities use it, schedule two drugs are drugs that have a high addictive potential but have a medical use( it was used primarily in late term cancer patients/ end of life care) schedule 1 drugs have no medical usage

Lol 99.9+ of all fentynal on streets is probably coming from black markets, outlawing it's use in end of life situations is going to do absolutely nothing to stop fentynal deaths.

Lol, i don’t disagree with that. I was mainly hinting at how the likes of cannabis, psilocybin, ibogaine, etc., probably shouldn’t be classified as schedule 1, while other things, such as cigarettes, probably should. If we are going to  schedule drugs, might as well schedule them correctly. Resistance will happen regardless.
