Theres a reason why Q tip of a tribe called quest called him your favorite rappers favorite rapper. Joey Bada$$ The weeknd Tyler the creator Earl sweatshirt Danny brown Among others credit him a massive influence "He was a massive inspiration to so many of us, changed things... For me the way he put words was often shocking in its genius, using stream of consciousness in a way I'd never heard before. Thom Yorke of radiohead on MF DOOM Also beyond that theres all the stuff he did with Adult swim both music and providing voices, and was first hip hop artist to really embrace that lane

I mean imma be real, I like this album, but it itself is derivative of its time in terms of sound, Mac didn't start the whole Jazzy hip hop thing, not to take anything away from his talent, but like its really hard to say this album its self is influential
