Lmfao the amount of people saying you must peacefully resist state violence is wild. The state isn't going to get tired enacting violence on the population, hoping they'll eventually feel bad about it and stopped is delusional af

I think it’s based in the history of civil rights marches back in the day. The problem is - the majority of people now are immune to images of violence against unarmed peaceful protestors. We could watch a Tiananmen Square type massacre and half the country would just say “F*ck ya! We owned them!” You are 💯 correct.

Exactly. The state doesn’t have a conscience. it’s built to exert power. It only backs off when resistance is too costly or threatens its legitimacy, not because it feels remorse.
