after a few hours of working out a simple dialog/sheet with a few form elements (back and forth between HeadlessUI, RadixUI, and Silk), I conclude that we take for granted the simplicity of modern declarative mobile UI frameworks like SwiftUI managing element focus and visibility via z-index is a pain on the web
