Why does every vibe coder use @supabase and not Firebase?

Never used the former so genuinely just curious.

Why use either? You should be running in a $15 box and skipping all of this unnecessary tech debt using managed services for 20x the price and requiring garbage code

it’s just another variable to worry about re: managing a deployment vs. a fully managed service

It’s really not any harder at this point and the cost savings compounds. 

Unless you’re running prototypes and practicing, you should not be building a business on these platforms if your goal is to actually make money (note that is not the same as being on the VC train where making money is an anti goal and lowering costs is seen as a waste of time)
