What is a child token? Is this the official lingo? Is child token just another way to say “meme coin”? Is mint.club a token launching mini app? Couldn’t find any information to read up on it

Great questions! “Child token” isn’t an official Web3 standard but a naming convention used on Mint Club to describe a token or NFT that is backed by a “parent” ERC-20 token. The parent token gives value and automated liquidity to the child asset through a bonding curve, without needing a DEX or external LP setup. So no—“child token” isn’t just another word for meme coin. While many meme coins use the system, it’s also used for NFTs, social tokens, or utility assets. Mint Club is more than just a token launcher—it’s a platform for building entire sub-ecosystems around any ERC-20 token. And yes, it also works as a mini app on via Warpcast. This is the perfect example of the child token ecosystem using $mfer as a parent token - https://mint.club/mfer 17777 👏
