no but you’re not getting it. it’s not clocking to you how fucking huge it is to be in a place where you put some effort into how you look before stepping out. even if it’s just a simple shirt and jeans. even if it’s just to go buy 1 thing from the grocery store. you don’t get how it feels to not be so fucking depressed that you don’t even care about applying lotion or sunscreen or lipgloss or perfume or deodorant or doing your hair properly.

Hahah yeah it's a self fulfilling prophecy almost. Nobody's going to look if you never try

But I've also noticed I always bump into someone I know when I look my worst 😭

Also first impressions are huge, and you never know when you're going to meet someone for the first time 🤷‍♂️

Lastly, dressing up makes me feel better about myself so it helps with that too

holy shit i just said something really similar to my friend a few hours ago when he said “what’s the point? no one’s looking at me.”

Definitely been there, the "what's the point anyway" thoughts run rampant 

But then I try to remind myself that you never know who you're going to meet out in public, today could be the day you meet the rest of your life 🫶
