I honestly don’t know much, but I do know I like Del Maguey Vida. Would love to hear other reccos, especially if they’re strong on the smoke

That’s a good brand! You’re enjoying the mezcal when it’s aged so Añejo style. Other things to seek: - Artisan or ancestral (small batch) - 100% agave, wild is best for complexity. - Instead of looking for legs when you swirl the liquor in a glass, dap your finger and rub it into your skin… it should feel oily like an essential oil for true agave not blends etc. I love mezcal so much that I went straight to source to learn more, Oaxaca.
