Who has the Steam Deck and what games are you playing on it? 

I've been playing a lot of games that seem like they suck to play without a mouse, but it's surprisingly decent with the touchpads

The Witcher 3 is a good candidate to play on it too, but after their free graphics upgrade last year it runs a bit worse

Capping stuff to 40 fps and graphics fiddling seems to generally make games workable while still looking decent

Yea I think that's pretty much the pmf of the steam deck tbh.

Sure you can run Cyberpunk and Spider-Man Remastered, but if you ask me, that's not really fun (it plays good enough for some people tho, all the power to them!)

Dave the Diver, Spirittea, Stardew Valley etc are perfect games for it.

I had a feeling people would play a lot of smaller, indie games because those are less demanding usually.

I have one :) Playing Valheim on it atm. Besides that, side scrollers/platformers and other non-demanding games.

It's no good for demanding games imo, just not strong enough for me personally.

I assume that’s what would happen to me. I got the PlayDate and only played it once

This was a while ago, so there might have been recent optimisation made Im not aware of.

Cyberpunk - played on low settings. Worked smoothly, except once per play session, seemingly out of the blue, the game would stutter and procceed to crash. 

Valheim seemed to be running at limited FPS but otherwise fine.

Did you find games like Cyberpunk and Valheim to be too heavy for it?

I got one in the first batch that got sent out. Haven’t touched it for a few months now...

Things I played on it: Cyberpunk, Valheim, Age of Empires (with External Monitor).

Things my gf played on it: A ton of Hogwarts Legacy.

Just ordered one, I was most excited to try out N64/Gamecube retro emulation with EmuDeck

Just bought the new OLED version. 

I probably won't use it for cyberpunk etc and will mostly be playing like Civ VI and Rimworld etc.

Looking forward to checking it out.
