A few years ago there was an article about how much car companies knew about you…the usual of course, but also data points on medical conditions, sex lives, etc. It’s gross.

I just recently got an electric car and you don’t really think about how many cameras and microphones are all over these cars. Lots of benefits but also lots of tracking.

it’s definitely a trade off. the wild thing is how expensive cars are to still be monetizing our data. The old saying was, “if you don’t know what the product is, you are the product.” But we’re pretty quickly moving to always being the product no matter how much we fork over.
