imho, "what's best" is off the table by now.

I wonder if a service-based economy can maximize employment and retain national fidelity, without the "non-bullshit" base of public responders and manufacturing.

I think it’s possible for some people but not on a large scale. I also don’t think it is actually what’s best for humans.

do you think the Keynes utopia, i.e. 10-hour workweek, is feasible, likely,  or inevitable?

accurate. that said would argue we've never been closer to unlocking 15h/w for a greater number of babes

I mean, the methodology is bad. It’s so easy to poke holes in and it ignores important parts of society such as without these so-called bullshit jobs, people wouldn’t just have time to relax and explore creative work. They’d be living in poverty.

I rage quit the book out of frustration of his methodology but that was years ago. I should revisit now that I've mellowed a bit.
