alright! i'll be kicking off the starter pack with some terms (kinda like Anime 101) so everyone can join the club. here's the quick lowdown: - anime: you probably already know this. lol. these are japanese animated shows or movies. think epic stories, really good visuals, and feels that hit hard. popular examples like Naruto or Spirited Away (movie). - manga: these are japanese comics or graphic novels. they are usually black-and-white and you read from right-to-left. most anime comes from manga. - manhua: these are comics like manga but chinese comics. it's often more colorful with dope art. - donghua: are chinese animated shows or films. really smooth animation, sometimes wuxia or fantasy flavors.
