Some takeaways from last night's State of the Union (sadly not recorded because we couldn't get FarHouse to work but we had fun testing the Spaces mini app by @moe!) The narrative "come to Farcaster to make money" is terrible and incentivizes the wrong behavior. If your reason to come here is money, you are going to be disappointed and probably won't do well. If you come to hang out with builders and innovators, you will come across opportunities not found elsewhere and you may make a few dollars here and there. I think the better narrative around money would be aimed at content creators. If you are already making great content, come to Farcaster and use the legos and rails here to take control of your audience and money making opportunities without platforms taking huge cuts of your revenue. The idea that hanging out on Farcaster full time is equivalent to a full time job income is just not true. It may one day be for the top 1% of users, the same as any other web2 platform.

Until they create better ways for content to be sticky and collect/accrue, it’s such a fast flowing stream that doesn’t pool/collect content & that means a huge amount of energy just runs away Which is not ideal for a content creator

I don't think we are there...yet...but I can see it. It feels like all the pieces are starting to come together. I think folks should lean in hard and experiment this summer while Coinbase Wallet is still in beta. When that goes live, it could open the floodgates.
