the iPhone is a distraction machine; Apple gives us a lot of control, but at the end of the day – in practice – it serves to help adversarial businesses addict us for profit the reMarkable tablets are designed specifically as tools to help humans create; the "bicycle for the mind" vision lives on 🤌 it's got an e-ink (digital paper) display and can't even play videos. this is a good thing! it's like a magical, digital paper notebook

I adore my Remarkable. Having my Notes with me everywhere is game changer. And I get the dopamine hit of scratching things off my list.

It’s great. It truly feels like writing on paper. It’s not a perfect 1:1 but the trade off of having it OCR my handwriting and sync it to the cloud and then be searchable on all my devices is so wonderful for my ADHD brain. I also feel like writing helps keep remember things better than typing. So I use it for that too. I also always take notes on calls to help Me pay attention and stay focused.

Yeah, there’s real power in writing things out…muscle memory kicks in and it just sticks better. It’s like your hand helps your brain hold on to the important stuff
