it's important to understand crypto's two sides: the degens and the nerds.

you can't trust any of the degens because they're all getting paid 500k/month to pump shitters

but you also can't trust the nerds because we've all spent our net worth on 5k angel checks into $0 infra

Serious thought on a shitpost: the real dichotomy is between people who do useless things and people who do useful things.

The degens and nerds here are both part of group A. Their motives may be virtuous or nefarious, or a mix of both, or (most common scenario) they think themselves virtuous while doing nefarious things.

Your time is worth more than figuring this out. Instead, you can leapfrog the whole bother by only trusting people who do useful things.
