What is the best mobile app for adding captions to video that won’t also sell all of my data to the CCP?

Likely getting $125 in leaderboard rewards this week, and I want to pay it forward to supporting creators.

I noticed many videos here don’t have captions. It’s a small edit that makes a big difference for viewers.

Captioning apps on mobile are convenient, but they aren’t free. So I’m thinking I’d like to sponsor a few creators’ caption app subscriptions.

Two questions:

- What are the best mobile apps for captions you’re using?
- What’s a fair way to pick who gets it? (I’m thinking: people who’ve already casted at least one video for Farcaster that isn’t recycled from existing social media, with demonstrated intent to create more.)

Instagram edits app does a decent job. CapCut is owned by Bytedance so not sure about the data going to CCP😁

Aint all companies sell our data regardless :(

Splice by GoPro.. not so good as CapCut but won't sell data (yet)
