TLDR: many users, not much OP.  There is also a bug that's being worked on.

Important context: 
Zora received this OP as part of RetroPGF funding and we voluntarily decided to distribute this to users.

This is only 300K OP (~$740K), and Zora has had well over 1M addresses. There's only so many addresses that we can meaningfully distribute to (~27 OP minimum). In this case it was around ~3,900. We'll share the criteria in detail shortly.

There have been some issues on the claim site with wallet connection that are being fixed as we speak, so double check later as well.

That is not a feature of Zora. That’s a feature of any platform. 

Zora is hard to use and hard to bridge to and offers literally zero unique value.

Counterpoint is that many crypto founders are knowingly making a Faustian bargain — they ask for many people to distribute for them, often times in the hope/expectation of being repaid by airdrops (or retail liquidity) in future. 

(I’m not saying it’s wrong, I just don’t feel particularly bad for founders)

sure, agreed, but also why did Zora apply for and receive public goods funding in the first place as a VC-backed private company? not really the definition of a public good that needs funding
