another asian innovation would be the Taiwan lottery receipts to incentivize proper reporting

even india started a similar system last year, but it’s only rolled out to a few states right now. in taiwan, even tourists are eligible to win lotteries. currently, india only supports its own residents.

Most AirBnbs in Taiwan (in my experience anyway) have bowls (like coin bowls) on the counter where you can leave your receipts for the host.
