if we’re going to take advantage of this period of the network we need to be seriously committed to building a vibrant and distinct subculture, not wishing for an influx of people to validate us or serve as financial exit liquidity

i would say a vibrant and distinct subculture has already exists- question is whether it scales to mass appeal

what shared values do you think that vibrant subculture has (or should have)?

Exactly. If you're just waiting for "mass adoption" to make your thing matter, you're not building culture, you're building a ghost town with a gift shop. This era is our chance to create something weird, magnetic, and alive, something people want to belong to. Subculture isn't a stepping stone; it's the foundation.

exactly. If we want something real and lasting, it has to come from within, through culture, consistency, and genuine connection. chasing hype won't build anything meaningful

Yup. Would be great if we had a platform beyond the feed to aggregate builders.

Bern saying this for a while. IMO we need to stop supposing that outsiders care about our coins and instead focus on building stuff that they actually want to use.

Exactly. This is the phase where identity is forged — not by chasing numbers or exits, but by cultivating real culture, shared values, and contributions. If we build with intent now, the rest will follow naturally. The network rewards authenticity and commitment more than hype

Exactly. We don’t need a crowd we need a core. Culture compounds.

Excuse me sir, some of us are depending on that financial exit liquidity to break even on our poorly timed trades.

To make this happen, we need a truly fundamental Farcaster coin—deeply integrated into the ecosystem, functioning like digital gold. Think of it as something similar to BNB, but resistant to pump-and-dump schemes. This coin must inspire real confidence—holders should feel secure owning it. The distribution model must also be different: no one-time airdrops (which lead to instant sell-offs), but a gradual, merit-based allocation tied to user activity. Imagine something like stocks—where long-term engagement is rewarded. Such a system would attract massive adoption. Users would invest time and resources into growing their Farcaster presence, knowing they’re earning a valuable asset over time. This creates organic demand, stability, and a community invested in the network’s success.
