This used to happen to our business accounts on Facebook all the time and would usually be resolved by using a back channel with an employee that worked there. It’s a pain in the ass but you should be able to get it back. Usually it’s an overzealous AI system

thanks for the perspective. i'd assumed it would just be a matter of time (assumed maybe a few days, but was wrong). but since have heard from several folks who never go theirs back, which was surprising. but thing in common between all of them was they never were able to get in touch with an actual person. so hopeful that if i persist until i do, that person will be able to fix it for me. hence this post
