I got Disney negotiation lore from an attorney who used to be on the Xbox team same year. The sentiment was, Disney > MSFT on negotiation power from his first hand experience back then. 

Coinciding with all the Kingdom Hearts licensing dances Square Enix also went through with Disney, their involvement in the evolution of media and technology rights in entertainment is as backbone as the EVM in some regards.
