Right wingers are triggered by this statue because itโs another reminder that they (whites) are not centered in everything anymore, but personally it seems like itโs more time wasted avoiding actual issues that affect black women. The statue seems like another performative gesture rather than actual progress. Malcolm X predicted this.

Thereโs a fine line between art for a cause and causing causal art and I donโt think the people spending the money on large statues instead of actual problems of systematic disparity understand that exactly.
