@dwr.eth I would appreciate input. I sent you a dm a month+ ago and need to figure out where farcaster is going to see if I can integrate it into my project next year, which requires planning as part of a new grant request. Kudos.

Im biased and part of the Sia tribe, and the tech already works, after a rewrite, and with utreexo being added in a upcoming hardfork, it will be a very unique project. Being most like BTC in spirit and block times, and being a 501c3 (no more VC funded dev/involvement), it is one of the few decentralized DePIN I know.

I ask since I am building a web3 hosting service powered by Sia (and grant funded by them) I am researching protocols to find out what networks can be added in the future (DePIN). I have many on my list, but Farcaster is definitely unclear on the direction its going to go for this. This year im doing S5 and IPFS.

Hello, So i am interested in understanding how storage works. Right now, there seems to be a global community multi-sig fund with ETH payments to the hubs. I have read that there might be a concept of a "home server" in the future, like Matrix. Bluesky/AT is doing this as well with PDSs.

Put simply, the purpose of my social media is mostly for my web3 job and activism. I honestly never used it when I was consulting. If I went back, I would probably still give my opinion at times, but the account would go dormant again otherwise.

Is there any dev specific channel for farcaster on here? I have questions around how storage works (Its unclear how hubs get paid) and possible "archiving" I have seen referenced in a few places.
