Fashion was never about garments.
imo it has always been just the armor we chose to wear
Beneath the surface, fashion has always been about something deeper, identity, social status, and signaling. If you trace its history and its relevance today, we can state that fashion is one of the oldest and most universal forms of self-expression
That’s why I always say: everything is fashion
We use so many things to express ourselves, things that aren’t “fashion” in the traditional sense at all. But they still serve the same purpose
That’s why, since day one, I’ve seen this place as a reflection of the same core forces: identity, status, and signal
