my chatgpt prompt from just now: I want to think about the game of tennis through 2 lenses. 1. For basketball, people only recently realized being great at 3’s was the optimal strategy and very possible. 2. In chess, chess bots simulate many moves ahead to pick the optimal next move. For tennis, there aren’t discrete moves, but you can think of depth, angle, pace, spin, height, serve placement, etc. as roundable to discrete subchoices. For singles tennis, what are the implications of these two lines of thinking?

have to be creative in tennis and accurate in shots, sometimes more power and less to make it unpredictable for the opponent and eventually impossible to return
