Rangoli's are where folk art, religious practices and generative processes meet. Kind of.... The process for making these - exclusively by women and girls in front of their houses - is pretty much entirely procedural. These are from a Rangoli pattern book that I picked up in India more than 15 years ago. I have a dozen of these books and their print quality is gorgeous, perhaps riso'd. More images in comments.

Ah thanks, that's great to hear! I left dataisnature up as an archive until only this year. Couldn’t afford the hosting any more. Apart from a few html saves to drive it now exists only as a huge .sql file. At least I have something from it. Thanks kindly for the tips

Can't dataisnature be rewrite to use cheap image hosting storage, like free vercel/netlify for html page and storing images in amazon s3 + cheap 5$ per month VPS acting as a caching proxy for images stored on aws? This is what I do in some project where I need to host many images with almost no cost ... DM me if you want to talk about it and see if we could find some solution to keep it online ?
