We’ve officially wrapped up our journey with IncuBase from @base Batch 001! Out of 2,800+ teams across six regional buildathons, Mint.club was selected as one of the 77 finalists — and also got invited to the Network School by @balajis.eth (only 8 teams did!). I couldn’t join this time due to family matters, but still super honored. When we entered this space, most players like pump dot fun were only focused on launching brand new tokens — starting from zero again and again. That led to 7 million+ tokens being minted, most of them quickly dumped and forgotten. Mint.club is taking a different path: token families. Instead of launching from scratch, you build on top of existing ERC-20s. Start from what you love. Create child tokens or NFTs that strengthen the parent token and unlock new ways to play with your community. This shift is already happening on Base. Mint Club has 32,000+ child tokens and NFTs live, and other players like Zora and Clanker are starting to explore this token-rooted model too. Huge thanks to @jessepollak for the sharp Demo Day question (and for being a Mint Club fan 😄). We love building on Base — not just for the support and good vibes, but because Base is about pioneering, not copy-pasting. Also big shout to @statuette for supporting us since day one, and to @linda, @v, @ted, and the Farcaster team — without Farcaster, Mint Club would’ve never found its way to Base. We believe the future of onchain markets starts here — and Mint.club will help shape it.

失敗は成功のもと In a bid to fix the channeling issues, I broke down the grinder and reset the baseline. Since then I’ve been dialing in a different fineness levels. This one is clearly too fine, and in the pick I saw channeling all around the edges.

I use “Cinematic” setting in the iOS camera. I set the f-stop/depth to 2.0 to get that blur around the edges, and then set exposure to -0.3. Then set lighting to the right and behind the phone. Focus-lock on the filter basket of the machine (long press until the yellow square is where you want it to focus). I edit in iOS version of iMovie and I don’t do anything special in there, but I have to crop it in the Photos app to get the “TikTok” vertical style, so I usually also apply a filter there. Depends on mood, but I find “Vivid” or “Vivid Cool” give me the look I want.

It was a tip I came across when reading “Million Dollar Weekend” Do something 100 times. It’s a perfect number; you can meaningfully see the goal, and you can also see yourself making meaningful progress towards it. I’ve done 50 of my espresso shot vids now. I’ve refined my filming and editing technique, and also steadily improved my espresso shots. Thanks alot! validations like this help me remember why I committed to it 👍

Ok! I’ve reached two people now! That’s two people who I didn’t have a connection over this before. Not taking the Coffee Influencer world by storm, but I do t think I’m cut out for fame and fortune anyway 😂 Thanks for the link suggestions I’ll check it out. There’s a coworking space that I habituate that might be interested.

Most video content don’t get much visibility on here, not really a farcaster thing maybe? Or it’s a people thing? But i don’t post much videos because the pictures are seen more than the videos of it. You can just do your thing, without being bothered about being seen though. But i don’t think anyone enjoys the stress of making a video only to find out that the picture gives you more visibility. Would love to be seeing more videos though. I know there’s /dash Thoughts?

I’ve been posting videos on /coffee for a month and a half now and.. avg one like from a friend. Zero engagement or feedback from anyone in the channel or outside. Not ready to give up on it yet, and my process is reasonably streamlined at this stage. It was more about me trying something new, so I had low expectations from the start, but the lack of impact on my “engagement” is a slightly bitter pill to swallow.

I have a former coworker who’s fond of saying “it’s not a tech problem, it’s a people problem”, and it’s pretty wild how many situations it was applicable to. Game piracy; multiplayer cheating; griefing; they all have the same pattern of tormenting legitimate users while only mildly inconveniencing the actual bad actors. I wish i knew the solution.

Second try with the Moka Sidamo, much better results. No spray, and Wikkid crema. Might benefit from a bit longer in the roaster, but that’s for the next batch. No cat photobomb this time.🤷🏼‍♂️
